What to prepare

Presentation slides

It depends on your format whether you need to prepare slides. Slides must be submitted to unboxed-dfgn@aalto.fi before Monday, September 21st.

Pitches

Slides are optional

All 4 pitches happen back-to-back in the main space, 3 minutes each, then participants split off to whichever conversation interests them (free to move around or observe).

Fishbowls

Prepare 1 - 2 slides with key info on your practice

The chair and two authors open the 20–30 minute conversation from the center seats; audience members join by taking an empty seat (if none is free, whoever's been sitting longest makes room).

Demonstrations

Prepare a full slideshow

Demonstrations run 20-30 minutes including 10 minutes Q&A, but the focus is on hands-on experience: authors facilitate a live, interactive demonstration or exercise, not just present.

Getting There
The venue is around 10–15 minutes from Riga city centre by public transport, bike or taxi.

From Riga Airport (RIX): Bus 22 to the city centre (30–40 min), then continue to Ķīpsala.
From the Central Train Station and International Bus Station: 10–15 min by public transport or bike.
From Riga Passenger Port: around 10 min by taxi or 15–20 min by public transport.
